Aromas of poached plum, spice warm earth and a floral top note introduce rich and seductively textured flavors that are at once caressing yet powerful while coating the palate with sappy dry extract that also buffers the moderately austere and decidedly firm finale. This fine effort has excellent development potential and is a wine that's also going to need at least 6 to 8 years of keeping before it will be reasonably approachable.
