Recently elevated to a premier cru, some believe this vineyard produces the finest white wine in Pernand Vergelesses, we refer to it as "baby Corton-Charlemagne." Even though it is partially hidden by the Hill of Corton, its southern exposure allows this terroir to receive plenty of afternoon sun. Their tiny holdings in this vineyard compromises only 0.13 hectares. High on the hill, overlooking the village, the steep slopes of this site have white marl and limestone soil. Complex nose of pear, apple with a touch of salinity. Chalky and loaded with mineral, almond and subtle oak. Full-bodied, complex and quite open already, with a very good core, fine soil signature, bright acids and a long, ripe and pure finish. The aging potential is impressive here.
