The medium-bodied 2024 OVR Old Vine Rose is made from Syrah and Grenache from the producer’s McDowell estate, where it grows both head-pruned Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir. Much of the Syrah is from very old vines. Hand-harvested, it goes direct to press with no saignée, the varieties fermented separately in stainless steel, each put into neutral barrel, and then blended back together in tank. With a small amount of skin contact for texture, it’s dry, balanced, and refreshing in cranberry and watermelon. Drink now.
