From the two easternmost and two westernmost blocks of the estate, the 2016 Pinot Noir Cyrus was aged in 30% new oak and spent 18 months in barrel. A classic style with deeper aromas in its woodsy, Oregon-noted profile, it offers notes of forest floor, herbs, ripe cherries, and spice. It has a riper profile on the palate, with a more melding feel, but it’s still rather youthful, with sweet tannins and a long finish. A more autumnal offering, it’s going to drink well over the next 7-8 years.
