The 2021 Riesling Gaisberg grows on a steep, warm slope of amphibolite and gneiss. Gorgeously intense, golden fruit, with a wonderfully zesty notion of dried lemon peel, ripe and luminous, makes for a great nose. The palate is exquisitely juicy and ripe, flowing, glowing, generous yet absolutely contoured and super-zesty. It is a picture of stony purity, festooned with ripest yet zesty fruit. Delicious.
