The 2022 Pinot Noir Santa Cruz Mountains comes from a blend of estate and non-estate sites. It's light, floral and surprisingly structured, sneaking up on you with a wash of gritty, grippy tannins that build quickly and with purpose. Cara Cara orange, juniper and menthol lead the way, but the finish is a little one-note and slightly hot. Still, this has a ton of character for an appellation-level wine.
