This wine is made from a rare grape, Tibouren, a native grape of Greece that is now primarily grown in Provence. Beautiful notes of blood orange sherbet, peach, and sage come through on the palate. Clos Cibonne is one of only 18 Cru Classés in Cotes de Provence!

Limpid onion skin color. Displays an array of red berry, citrus fruit and floral qualities, along with hints of ginger, sea salt, orange pith and toasted almond. Stains the palate with vibrant, mineral-laced strawberry, blood orange, salted nut and candied rose flavors that are firmed by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows superb depth as well as energy and finishes extremely long and focused, with repeating florality and a sappy red berry quality.
The 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose Cuvee Prestige Caroline was barrel-fermented and aged just under a year in new 300-liter barrels. It's a lovely salmon hue in the glass, redolent of vanilla and cedar and backed by scents of clementines and cloves. Medium to full-bodied, it's a rich, plushly textured rosé that might even benefit from another year of bottle age, although there's no denying the current appeal of a lingering finish that calls creamsicles to mind.
