This had just been bottled and was showing the effects as the nose was moderately reduced though I would not expect it to linger unduly. Otherwise there is excellent volume, intensity and richness to the concentrated medium-bodied flavors that evidence focused power on the compact, youthfully austere and built-to-age finish. This excellent mineral-driven effort is textbook Taillepieds.
Wine Spectator: 93 Points
A high-pitched red, evoking kirsch, strawberry, boysenberry, rose and spice flavors. Elegant in profile and sleek, with excellent tension and structure. The fruit persists on the long aftertaste, picking up a mineral element and echoing the spice. Best from 2025 through 2042. 62 cases made, 20 cases imported.
