A new, limited production wine from Suduiraut made only in select vintages with just 800 bottles produced in 2020. Honeyed lemon and caramel on the nose, with acacia and toasted elements. Cinnamon, vanilla and orange zest open on the palate which is crisp and bright, but also delivers a creamy texture around apricot and peach fruit. Mineral and fine, with wet stone and graphite tones raised by the acidity, leading to a long, elegant finish. Supremely balanced with a weighty, viscous texture that is finessed and so moreish. Characterful and extremely compelling.
This has a complex nose of smoked almonds, beeswax, lemons, green apples, pears and charred vanilla pods. Sea salt, too. Medium-to full-bodied with vibrant acidity and a textured palate. Exciting saline and mineral character. Terrific new wine that is based on a lovely texture. Drink or hold.
